Please note that this event is in the past.
The parish of Holy Myrrhbearers Orthodox Church invites you to "Stories, Tea, and Sweets" from 2-4 on Sunday afternoon on December 4th. Shop in our bookstore for books, icons, gifts, and home worship items, such as charcoal and incense.
A lecture on "The real Santa: St. Nicholas of Myra, His Life and Miracles", given by Dr. Mikhail Blinnikov, will be held at 3 p.m. in the nave of the church. Children's holiday stories will be read at 2:30 and 3:30, with crafts at 3:00. Enjoy some traditional seasonal sweets with your tea at this special pre-Nativity event.
Free and open to the public.
Holy Myrrhbearers is located off 9th Ave S, between Lake George and the SCSU campus, on the corner of 6 St S and 7 Ave S. (Please check out the driving directions if you aren't sure.) (Unfortunately, our building is not handicap-accessible. There are stairs up from the sidewalk to the front door and then down to the dining room or up into the nave.)
