Where: Holy Myrrh-bearers Orthodox Church

Join us for a casual supper of home-cooked Southern dishes that reflect the range of cultural influences from Africa to the British Isles that shaped the distinctive culture of Appalachia and the Deep South.

The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with an intimate hour of literature readings and performances. Supper will be served at 6 PM: A choice of mesquite or barbecue chicken carved and served family-style at your table with cornbread stuffing, biscuits, black-eyed peas, and green gumbo. After supper, you'll be treated to an Appalachian clog dancing show, and coffee, with dessert choices of peach cobbler or red velvet cake.
