Come to our annual Tibetan Dinner on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 6 - 8 PM!
Our menu is broadening to include other Himalayan specialties! This year's main dish will be momos, dumplings filled with ground organically-raised yak! Add your own chilies and tsong lafu (pickled daikon) for heat! Enjoy chura (goat cheese), Thukpa (Nepalese soup), Kadu Bouranee (an Afghani pumpkin dish) and Indian dal on basmati rice with snowpeas. For dessert, we will serve Indian kheer (rice pudding) and the Tibetan favorite pa (roasted barley flour) in po cha (butter tea).
We are working on arranging for some kind of cultural experience as the evening's entertainment. Hopefully, we will have some SCSU students to share their homeland with you.
