Russian Literature Club
The Russian Literature Club studies classical Russian literature from the 19th and 20th centuries, with a spiritual theme in mind. The Russian Literature Club is open to anyone (Orthodox or not), and you are not required to know Russian (but if you can read in Russian, you are welcome to do so).

Russian Literature Club meetings occur approximately once a month (usually the third Sunday of the month at 4:00 PM). The specific date is listed on this month's schedule. Meetings take place at the Blinnikovs' home; please call (320)–259–9616 for directions.

Each meeting, we focus on one writer, and discuss one of their stories. The stories are short enough as to be read within one month; please read the story before you go to the club meeting. The main focus of our group discussion is to discover Christianity in the pages of Russian literature, and to deepen our knowledge of the faith.

We will be discussing The Inspector General by N. Gogol at our next meeting, which will be on January 25, 2009. The text for this story is available at http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/3735 (you may need to scroll down).

There is a potluck dinner after each meeting; please bring a salad, dessert, or another food item if you would like to stay.
